LA BICISCOOL is not so much a school, but more of a casual and welcoming space to learn and practice the skills to keep YOUR OWN bicycle running smoothly. Yes, this means bring your own bicycle to class for us to work on. Class sizes are small, allowing for undivided attention and the most hands-on time.

Hi! My name is Ryan, a recent transplant to beautiful Chile, and I'll be helping you uncover the mystery behind bicycle repair and maintenance. I have a long and positive relationship with the bicycle and over eighteen years experience working in the industry. My personal and professional experiences have taken me everywhere from: competing in triathlons, bike packing across Spain and Portugal, mountain bike racing among bears for 24 hours in the Yukon. I have worked as a mechanic for long distance cycle tours crossing the length of Africa, Europe, Latin America, Central and Southeast Asia, and the United States, to name a few. Being on the bicycle always puts a smile on my face and a close second is helping others learn a new skill. Come and get your hands dirty, you'll be surprised what you can learn.
